Methodology

MOA Foodtech presents Non-GMO Directed Fermentation, a patent-protected breakthrough technology that combines the benefits of biomass and precision fermentation without the regulatory barriers. Powered by our AI platform, Albatros (protected by US Copyright), we optimize biomass fermentation to produce custom, high-quality ingredients without the use of GMOs. This approach eliminates the significant regulatory delays faced by precision fermentation products, which often require lengthy GMO approvals or Novel Food testing. Our use of pre-approved edible microorganisms (approved by EFSA in the EU and FDA in the US) streamlines the regulatory process, enabling faster market entry.

Decoupling Food Production from Soil (TITLE)

Our AI-powered fermentation platform produces high-value ingredients from agri-food by-products, reducing dependence on traditional agriculture and soil.

Resource and Energy Efficiency

Our non-GMO fermentation efficiently uses by-products as raw materials, minimizing waste and energy, and supporting low-emission, resource-optimized food production.

Sustainability and Circular Economy

By revalorizing food industry by-products, we promote a circular economy and reduce waste. Our closed-loop process ensures environmental safety by preventing the release of microorganisms or contaminants

Precision Nutrition and Healthier Alternatives

Our technology enables the production of tailored, non-GMO ingredients that support precision nutrition and healthier food alternatives, helping reduce food-related health issues.

Scalability in Varied Environments

Our fermentation platform adapts to resource-constrained environments, ensuring scalable and efficient production, supporting global food security across diverse conditions.

Reducing Environmental Impact

By using by-products instead of high-value crops and avoiding pesticides, our process eases pressure on land and water, supports biodiversity, and contributes to climate change mitigation in line with the EU Soil Mission and Green Deal.

EU Technological Autonomy and Leadership

Our project places the EU at the forefront of sustainable food tech by combining advanced AI and fermentation, supporting EU autonomy and global leadership in the food sector.

Supporting Climate Goals

Our process cuts greenhouse gas emissions by turning waste into valuable ingredients, supporting the Fit for 55 and REPowerEU goals to reduce the EU’s carbon footprint.

Market Readiness and Consumer Acceptance

We engage stakeholders in Europe and North America to ensure market readiness, addressing consumer acceptance and regulations, supporting smooth market entry and scaling inside and beyond the EU
